Ronin + Canon C100

Had another great time working with the Tastemade crew operating a Ronin and C100. This team really knows how to make a scene look nice.

The Day Shall Declare It: Virtual Reality

A very unique and experimental shoot directed by my talented friend Sarah Hamblin. The idea was to capture the live play "The Day Shall Declare It" on a GoPro array for a seamless one take virtual reality experience. I look forward to seeing the results! Everything went very well and I am always grateful to be apart of projects that push technology and everyone involved.

Los Angeles Night Aerials

This was one of my first tests with the Sony a7s. These photos are from a surreal flight with Icon Helicopters over the city of Los Angeles.  Needless to say, this camera is obviously a low light monster. Unfortunately, I was using no image stabilization so high shutter speeds were used. This gallery ranges from 20,000 ISO to 80,000 ISO.

Apria Healthcare Corporate Video

It was a pleasure working with RGEAR to create equipment instructional videos for Apria Healthcare.

Downtown Los Angeles Fire

I strolled into Downtown Los Angeles to test my new Sony a7s on Sunday at 11:00pm. In an effort to capture the stillness and vacancy of the city, I was interupted by a rumble and some very tall flames.

Here’s your Sony a7s low light test footage. All handheld with a Gorilla Pod.

Top Gear U.S. - Appalachian Trail

3 Canon 5D Mark III's and a Movi m5 camera stabilizer all equated to a spectacular trip with the Top Gear U.S. crew. Lots of room for creativity alongside a crew that runs this show like clockwork. The highlight of this trip was a Movi shot around the Mercedes "nascar" of Rutledge while the pit crew fueled up and changed tires. Good times.

Pepsi Halftime Challenge at Tastemade Studios

An awesome change of pace shooting slow motion food at Tastemade Studios. I met a cool gang of passionate food lovers so I fit right in. Directed by my talented Emmy Award Winning friend, Ramy Romany. Ramy and his wife Sharra work seamlessly on set to keep things rolling along and looking great.

Shot with a bundle of cameras including C100's, 5D's and FS-700's, Kessler Parallax slider and Kino's.

EnduroCross at Citizen Bank Arena

Thanks to my cousin Lindsey Lovell at Dirt Rider for bringing me on to shoot Endurocross at the Citizen Bank Arena in Ontario. I love shooting two-wheels. The trick here is pick the right corners to shoot from and anticipate any bikes headed your way off course. These guys make it look easy.
